Sometimes a word can be made in various ways that use bonuses differently and therefore get you a different number of points. If your opponent got more points for the same word, that means they chose a different way of making this word and used bonuses better. When making a word, remember that DW and TW bonuses double or triple your points for a whole word, and that DL and TL bonuses are worth more if they fall near the end of a word.
