First, the game selects a player of a similar level to you who is also looking for an opponent. The opponent’s level must be within the limits set for players of your level. For example, a level 10 player can be matched with an opponent between level 6 and level 15.
If there are several potential opponents, the game selects the one with the closest rating and number of found words to you.
If nobody looking for an opponent is of a similar level to you, the game selects a player who was in the game within the last 24 hours, whose rating differs from yours by less than 40%, and whose average number of points scored per round differs from yours by less than 30%.
Random opponents are selected in several consecutive stages:
- From among players who are currently in the game.
- From among players who were in the game within the last 30 minutes.
- From among players who were in the game within the last 24 hours.
The game selects an opponent whose rating differs from yours by no more than 40%, or an opponent who won a similar number of points to you (±30%) in the last round.
