Clan members fall into one of five ranks: Newbies, Recruits, Elders, Deputy Leaders and Leaders.
Responsibilities by rank:
Newbie
A player becomes a Newbie automatically after joining a clan. Newbies have access to all game types, but they cannot take part in heists.
Recruit
Recruits have access to all game types, including heists.
Elder
This rank is above Recruit, but below Deputy Leader. Elders can:
- approve or decline requests to join the clan
- expel Recruits and Newbies from the clan
- see the time of a player’s last battle on the clan member list
Deputy Leader
A Deputy Leader is the Clan Leader’s trusted lieutenant. They can do a lot more than Elders or Recruits. Deputy Leaders can:
- approve or decline requests to join the clan
- promote any player to Elder
- promote or demote any player to Recruit
- demote any player to Newbie
- expel Elders, Recruits and Newbies from the clan
- apply to enter clan tournaments
- challenge other clans to Grail Battles
- send messages to all clan members via the Megaphone
- see the time of a player’s last battle on the clan member list
Leader
The Clan Leader can do more than anyone else. The Leader can:
- approve or decline requests to join the clan

The maximum number of clan members is 40. A clan can have only one Leader and up to ten Deputy Leaders. There is no limit on the number of Elders, Recruits and Newbies.
